When I initially started this blog I was a little lost as to what exactly I wanted to accomplish with it. At the time I was a little depressed and confused about the direction my life was taking (you know all the crap us 20-somethings go through).....After evaluating my attitude and rewriting my personal agenda I decided to change my blog/journal to more positive aspects of my life.
I never mentioned before that I am natural and I love that about myself. My last relaxer was August 2004 and I have gone through ups and Downs with my hair since. From 2004-2008 I wore wigs, weaves and anything else that allowed me to avoid actually taking care of my hair. In October 2008 I decided to grow locs and let go of the false extensions. After discovering such a positive and large community of natural brothas and sistahs on YouTube.com I immediately began to embrace who I really am.
After heavy consideration I began to take my locs down and rock my natural, kinky corkscrews and I am loving every waking moment of it, so I welcome you to my journey as I evolve into this new Nubian Goddess....enjoy!
